Joint pain can be the result of many different ailments as we get older and this can increase based on our lifestyle. If your joint pain is due to injury then inflammation could be the reason as the area is trying to heal. Our ligaments, tendons and connective tissue could be strained or damaged which causes pain at every level. In this instance try the following to reduce the pain:

  • Rest the area by keeping any weight and usage to a minimum

  • Use a Ibruprofen gel/cream or Voltarol etc. to rub on the area

  • Use ice to reduce inflammation

  • Lose weight

  • Drink plenty water and eat a balanced diet

Arthritis is wear and tear of the joints and affects mostly older people.


Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune problem when the body turns against itself and mistakenly attacks the joints.


Ways to reduce pain:

  • Heat pads and Ice packs

  • Medicated Gels and creams as well as Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's)

  • Physiotherapy and exercise

  • Eating a balanced nutritional diet
